1938-2017

Sammy Nelson Duff, 79, Platte City, Missouri, passed away Monday, September 18, 2017 at his home.
He was born August 19, 1938 in Cushing, Oklahoma to John and Rose (Ellis) Duff.
Sammy married Charla Hesse December 27, 1963; she preceded him in death in 2009.
He was a longtime member of Pipefitters and Auto Workers Union, A Master Mason, American Legion. Sammy loved golf, fishing and collecting baseball memorabilia.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary Duff; son-in-law, Scott Anderson.
Survivors include sister, Phyllis Welton; children, Vickie Anderson, Gary Duff (Dennise), Onalaska, TX, Laura Shoop, Platte City, MO, David Duff (Debbie), Fort Benning; grandchildren, Jeremy and Jason, Dinastie, Diana, Daura and Jimmy, Shyanne (Robert), Shelbe, Ashley (Zach), Sammy and Kelsie; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Farewell Services 2:00 P.M. Friday, Platte City Methodist Church. Family and friends will meet at Shiloh Springs Golf after the service for dinner. Online guest book and obituary at www.meierhoffer.com.
