Ronald D. Drain, 69, Lenexa, Kansas, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017.
He was born February 15, 1948 in Fort Worth, Texas to Albert and Mauvaline (Beam) Drain.
Ron married Diana Butcher April 18, 1975, she survives of the home.
He was a 1966 graduate of Central High School in St. Joseph, Missouri and received his MBA from UMKC where he was a Delta Chi.
Ron was a loving father and husband. He never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone. Ron was a novelist and loved to build boats, restore classic cars, spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks and with his family. Ron had a great sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Drain.
Additional survivors include daughter, Amy Drain Shelton (Jacob); son, Craig Parrish (Suzette); grandchildren, Peyton Shelton, Drake and Preston Parrish; mother, Mauvaline Drain; sister, Deb Crawford (Scott); nephew, Ryan (Kari).
Farewell Services 3:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Inurnment Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. There will be a Celebration of Life Friday, 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
