Joanne Benne, 90, Platte City, Missouri passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017.
She was born November 14, 1926 in Camden Point, Missouri to Joseph and Georgia (Crobarger) Hubbard, She grew up in Old Northeast Kansas City. She married Clarence Benne August 10, 1957. Early in their marriage, they moved to southern Platte County and lived there until they retired, then moved to Platte City area. They were married for 50 years before Clarence passed away.
Joanne was an artist who enjoyed painting, drawing and many other artistic hobbies. She was an avid genealogist and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the Kansas Mayflower Society, the Daughters of the American Revolution and an active member of the Garden Chatter Club for many years. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law.
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother Douglas Hubbard, her sister Patricia (Hubbard) Gregg and her son Bartles Lance Benne.
Survivors include sons, Clinton Benne and his wife Lynn, Michael Benne, Vince Benne and his wife LaDonna, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, her sister, Betty Cross, three nieces and their families.
